Genesis 37:5-10
‘5 And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren: and they hated him yet the more.
6 And he said unto them, Hear, I pray you, this dream which I have dreamed:
7 For, behold, we were binding sheaves in the field, and, lo, my sheaf arose, and also stood upright; and, behold, your sheaves stood round about, and made obeisance to my sheaf.
8 And his brethren said to him, Shalt thou indeed reign over us? or shalt thou indeed have dominion over us? And they hated him yet the more for his dreams, and for his words.
9 And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it his brethren, and said, Behold, I have dreamed a dream more; and, behold, the sun and the moon and the eleven stars made obeisance to me.
10 And he told it to his father, and to his brethren: and his father rebuked him, and said unto him, What is this dream that thou hast dreamed? Shall I and thy mother and thy brethren indeed come to bow down ourselves to thee to the earth?’
Vision:
- Ability to see
- Vision isthe faculty of seeing which involves seeing with your heart and eyes.
- It is the ability to see what others cannot see { to be able to see the impossible to be possible}
- Vision is also planting the future with imagination, an imagination that can be achieved.
- Vision is also the hand of God upon the hand of man to produce excellent results.
Lack of dreams is lack of destiny
Steps of having proper vision
- It must be imagined
- It must be conceived
- It should be born
- It must be carried in the process of maturity
Characteristic of visionless people
- A person without vision is one who doesn’t imagine anything
- Is a careless person
- Is a person who’s self sufficient
- Every day in his life is called today
Characteristics of people with a vision
- They don’t doubt God (Romans 4:18-21)
- They obey the authority/principles/process of God (Hebrews 11:8-10)
- They trust in the process
- They take a step/begin moving towards their vision
- They close their eyes to things that shows imposibility (Luke 17:27-29)
